The 42nd Bi-Annual New Jersey Film Festival will be taking place on the Fridays and Sundays between September 8-October 8, 2023. The Festival will be a hybrid one as we will be presenting it online as well as doing in-person screenings at Rutgers University. All the films will be available virtually via Video on Demand for 24 hours on their show date. Each General Admission Ticket or Festival Pass purchased is good for both the virtual and the in-person screenings. The in-person screenings will be held in Voorhees Hall #105/Rutgers University, 71 Hamilton Street, New Brunswick, NJ beginning at 5PM or 7PM on their show date. General Admission Ticket=$15 Per Program; Festival All Access Pass=$100; In-Person Only Student Ticket=$10 Per Program. For more info scan the QR code below or go here:

In Nazarband, acclaimed filmmaker and theatre director, Suman Mukhopadhyay takes us on a visceral journey through Kolkata with an unlikely pair - Vasanti and Chandu - two jailbirds recently released from prison. Adapted from Bengali novelist Ashapurna Devi’s Chhuti Nakoch, the film stars Indira Tiwari and Tanmay Dhanania, and is a heartfelt exploration into the depths of companionship and the meaning of rejection and acceptance.
